GECU is excited to announce a momentous achievement for our President and CEO, Crystal Long. Crystal has been inducted into the prestigious Credit Union Women Making History: Herstory exhibition at America’s Credit Union Museum in New Hampshire. This exhibition celebrates the extraordinary achievements of women in the credit union industry who have significantly advanced the credit union movement.
The Herstory exhibit aims to “honor the past, present and future of incredible women making history. Herstory will be an interactive exhibit showcasing women’s stories never heard before.” This exhibit is a testament to the dedication, resilience and visionary leadership of women in the credit union industry.
Crystal Long shared her heartfelt response to this honor, stating, "I am deeply humbled and honored to be inducted into this extraordinary exhibition. Together with the dedication of many other women before me — present and future — the credit union movement continues to thrive and evolve."
The annual induction ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024. This event not only celebrates these remarkable women, but also features an online component that allows virtual visitors to explore their inspiring stories.
