Family with Santa and the Grinch for Christmas in July event

The GECU Foundation1 is spreading holiday cheer in the middle of summer as part of this year’s Christmas in July celebration with El Paso Locomotive FC on Saturday, July 19 at Southwest University Park. Fans are invited to come early and enjoy festive, family-friendly fun — holiday style!

As proud supporters and the official credit union of El Paso Locomotive FC, GECU is bringing the magic of the season to life with a lineup of holiday-themed activities for fans of all ages. Stop by the GECU booth for face painting, a photo booth, ornament decorating, and other merry surprises.2 Whether you're making memories with your kids or just feeling nostalgic for hot cocoa and twinkling lights, we’re bringing a little winter warmth to your summer night.

The spirit of the season isn’t just about fun; it’s also about giving back. Fans attending the match are encouraged to donate a new, unwrapped toy to support children across our community. All donations will benefit Gigi’s Playhouse El Paso, an achievement center dedicated to empowering individuals with Down syndrome and promoting global acceptance.

These toys will be gifted to local children of all ages this upcoming holiday season during a special holiday experience organized by the GECU Foundation. It’s a chance to give joy today that will last through December and beyond.

Join us in celebrating community, generosity and holiday spirit in the heart of July. Whether you're cheering on the Locos or decorating an ornament, you'll be helping us make a difference, one smile at a time.

We can’t wait to see you there!
