ECONOMIC IMPACT PAYMENT

The IRS launched the Economic Impact Payment program to help qualifying U.S. citizens receive the stimulus money. Those eligible can submit their information to the IRS to determine their eligibility and payment amount. Visit the IRS Get My Payment site for more information about this program.

ECONOMIC IMPACT PAYMENT

  • When will I receive my payment?
    • Those eligible for the Economic Impact Payment and have current direct deposit information on file with the IRS may receive funds to their account starting December 30, 2020. Those without current direct deposit information will receive a check or Economic Impact Payment card through the mail.

24/7 ACCOUNT ACCESS

  • Can I transfer more than the allotted six transfers per month from my savings or Money Market account?
    • Yes. GECU will temporarily remove the monthly limit of six transfers from your savings or Money Market account. This will include overdraft transfers, online banking and mobile banking transfers, and transfers completed using the GECU Audio Response System. The online banking and mobile banking systems will still display notices that the transfer limitations have been reached, however, you will still have the ability to conduct more than six transfers per month.
  • Is there access to ATMs?
    • Yes. Members have access to GECU ATMs to make real-time deposits3 and withdrawals. You can access any of the 32,000+ surcharge-free ATMs locally and nationwide. To find an ATM near you, click here.

  • What are your hours of operation?
    • The hours of operation for our GECU Neighborhood BranchSM locations are Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m.–2 p.m. until further notice. To find a branch near you or to find updated hours, click here.
  • Is there access to ATMs?
    • Yes. Members have access to ATMs to make real-time deposits3 and withdrawals. You can access any of the 32,000+ surcharge-free ATMs locally and nationwide. To find an ATM near you, click here.
  • What steps is GECU taking to ensure that its members and employees are safe?
    • GECU is closely monitoring the situation and taking proper action to ensure that members and employees are safe. Hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and/or disinfecting solutions are always available and are continuously used at all branches and offices for our employees’ and members’ safety. GECU provides essential services to our members and community and we are implementing social distancing. Our lobbies remain open, but we encourage the community to stay home and access our services from their home, telephone or car. We offer 24/7 access to your accounts with GECU ATMs, GECU online and mobile banking, drive-thru locations and gecu.com. Please continue to check this page for updates.
  • Are there any extra steps to take for prevention at branches?
    • At GECU, daily hygiene efforts are taken to ensure that branches are thoroughly cleaned and we will enhance our hygiene procedures as a precautionary step. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are always available at all branches to prevent the spread of disease.

    • Yes, your funds are secure and federally insured by NCUA. GECU is well capitalized with funds insured up to $250,000. There are additional ways to maximize your insurance coverage by contacting GECU Special Services at 915.774.6879.
